Deepak Lubana Elected President of Chandigarh Youth Congress in Thrilling Election Victory
In a momentous shift for the Chandigarh Youth Congress, Deepak Lubana has emerged as the new president, triumphing over well-known sitting councillor Sachin Galav by a solid margin of 700 votes. Deepak Lubana clinched his position with an impressive tally of 11,259 votes, while Galav trailed behind at 10,573 votes. The Gabi group, established by Gurpreet Gabi, who was the inaugural president of the Chandigarh Youth Congress back in 2010, continues to wield significant influence. Gabi, now serving as the vice-president of Chandigarh Congress and a councillor for Ward 34, laid a strong foundation that has seen his faction dominate recent elections. In this latest round, the Gabi group not only secured the presidency with Lubana but also claimed victory in a remarkable four out of five district president positions, as well as nine out of sixteen general secretary roles, two vice-presidential slots, and 19 ward president positions.
